OUR STORY
White Rhino Coffee was founded in 2007 in Cedar Hill, Texas. Our founder, Chris Parvin, wanted to create a space where community members could get a cup of craft coffee and connect with their neighbors.
Before long, our small community coffee shop became a place where friendships blossomed, the community came together, and everyone had a seat at the table.
After more than a decade of success in Cedar Hill, we decided to expand White Rhino to more communities across North Texas. Today, we have 9 shops offering exceptional craft coffee + scratch eats, a new White Rhino Coffee Roastery, and plans to open 15 more shops by 2025.
WHY WHITE RHINO?
Many ask us "Why the name White Rhino?" The name was a nickname that Chris's original business partner in White Rhino was given. While Chris later bought him out of the business, the name stuck because it so perfectly aligns with who we are as a coffee shop!
White rhinos are not only rare, but they are also the most social of the rhino species. They live in communities, or as they call them "crashes" of Rhinos, and they thrive when they are together.
At White Rhino Coffee, we are focused on being a rare breed of coffee shop, one that delivers exceptional craft coffee + scratch eats. And just like white rhinos, we thrive when we bring people together to create community.
OUR COFFEE
At White Rhino, we source our coffee beans from innovative regions around the world, while staying true to our ethos of supporting direct trade, livable wages, and sustainability for our farmers.
At our roastery, we craft our coffee according to specialty coffee standards. All our coffees are treated with equal care, and we create custom roasts designed for the best flavor profile expressions. Whether single origin or blends, we have a coffee for evervone.
To ensure each brew carries the highest quality and freshness, we only roast to order in small batches from our Roastery in Dallas, Texas.
